Reading Intervention

Speech-language pathologists work with children with reading difficulties as we have specialized education and experience for addressing the underlying language processing difficulties that may impact literacy skills such as semantic, syntactic, morphological, and phonological aspects of literacy disorders. Literacy involves reading, spelling, and writing. In addition to a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology, I am also trained in Orton Gillingham.

Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, multi-sensory, structured, sequential, and language-based approach to teach literacy skills when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to children. Reading difficulties can impact many different aspect’s of a child’s academic experience. If you have concerns about your child’s reading skills, please reach out!
